Nice downward shot. Most people show eyes from the bottom and opened. I like the softness of the lashes over a nicely shaded cheek here.

To answer your question; Heck no! You should not sacrifice good composition because of softness(blurriness). I have a theory about photography. As long as you feel that it is a good image, as long as it feels right to you when you press the shutter, then it is a good image. Now i doubt that this theory will fly with a MOMA curator but we amateurs (def:one who engages in a pursuit, study, science, or sport as a pastime rather than as a profession) have the luxury of making images that are meaningful to us. This image is meaningful and says so much. Nature, motion and speed in life are the first things that comes to my mind when i look at it. Man, i could go on and on but all in all the image is cool, and it speaks volumes. At the end of the day, lets make images that mean something to us. Meaningful images are what i want to leave behind. I don't wanna leave behind some generic image that means jack squat.

Awesome shot, Kern! Amazing colors, very interesting clouds, too. You're right - enjoying all that goooood sleep will cause you to miss some incredible sunrises. But you'll fine the returns will be well worth losing a few hours sleep. Next time try to put that human stuff behind you... I say that knowing that human stuff is almost unavoidable.
